A Bite of Good Spice Blend Cheat Sheet

Updated: Jun 12

In "The Paradox of Choice," author Barry Schwartz posits that "[l]earning to choose is hard. Learning to choose well is harder. And learning to choose well in a world full of unlimited possibilities is harder still..." With 46 individual spice blends in my collection right now (😳), I recognize that I may be coming dangerously close to offering TOO MANY choices, and, as such, am making it HARDER for people to choose. This, of course, has never been the goal. On the contrary, my mission here at A Bite of Good is to help you, dear friends, make your own lives a little more delicious, one spice jar at a time. And while I find it difficult (if not impossible) to eliminate blends from my collection (because, like children, they're all my favorite), a sort of Cheat Sheet is long overdue.

So, without further ado, allow me to introduce the A Bite of Good Spice Blend Cheat Sheet. Here, you can see my recommendations for the best blends for Chicken, Beef, Pork, Fish, Shellfish, Veggies, and Baked Goods & Coffee, as well as the Spiciest blends and those with Low/No Salt. I hope this helps, but also know that, at least in my opinion, there really is no wrong choice. 😉
