My To Live and Chai in LA spice blend - a handcrafted combination of ceylon cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, black pepper, nutmeg, clove, and vanilla - infuses these brownies with a depth of flavor that even traditional brownie loyalists didn't know they were missing. Get ready to savor the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and comforting in every bite.

Chocolate Chai Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup dark brown sugar

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons To Live and Chai in LA *

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 1 cup chocolate chips

  • 3 large eggs, room temperature

  • 1 cup melted butter, slightly cooled

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract



Directions:


Prepare a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray, and preheat oven to 350F.


In a medium bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, and stir until just combined. Pour mixture into prepared pan and bake 22-25 minutes or until the middle is just barely set. Allow to cool completely in the baking dish before slicing.


*Note: To Live and Chai in LA is a seasonal blend available September through November. If you can't get your hands on a jar, this recipe is equally amazing with my Catalina Chai spice blend, which is available year-round.
