Barley and mushrooms are pretty much a match made in soup heaven, and this mix takes that match to a new level with A Bite of Good Italian Countryside spice blend AND some more dehydrated wild mushrooms to boot! Mushroom lovers, unite!


Available all year because it's always soup season around here!


Ingredients: Pearled Barley, Mixed Wild Mushrooms, Italian Countryside (Mixed Wild Mushrooms, Garlic, Onion, Rosemary, Thyme, Black Pepper, Kosher Salt) 


What You'll Need: 1 medium carrot (peeled & sliced), 1 stalk celery (sliced), 4 cups low sodium vegetable or chicken broth, 2 cups water, 1 bunch hearty greens (kale/collards/chard/mustards), stemmed and sliced thin.


Cooking Instructions: Add contents of jar plus carrot, celery, broth and water to a large pot. Bring to a boil. Add greens then simmer, covered, 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until barley is tender.


Makes 4 generous servings
