Chai-Spiced Oatmeal Mix

Makes about 8 cups of mix (16 servings)


Ingredients:

  • 6 cups rolled oats

  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

  • 1 cup chopped dried apples

  • 1/4 cup chia seeds

  • 1/4 cup flax seeds

  • 1/4 cup protein powder (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons Catalina Chai spice blend


To make mix: Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl and toss to mix well. Transfer to an airtight container to store.


To serve: Place 1/2 cup of mix in a bowl and cover with 2/3 to 3/4 cup boiling water (depending on how thick you like your oatmeal). Stir, cover, and let stand 3-5 minutes. Eat as is or top as desired with fresh fruit, more nuts, a drizzle of honey or maple syrup, a spoonful of brown sugar, or whatever brings you joy.
