Homemade Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer

I'm not generally a flavored coffee creamer kind of girl. I find that most of the store-bought ones taste, well, artificial. I know what vanilla tastes like, and it's not... that. And I rarely get coffee at coffee shops because my husband is a bit of a coffee snob and makes us absolutely delicious coffee every morning. (Yes. I know I'm spoiled.) But I wanted to try my hand at making my own Homemade Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer because, well, why not? I'm ready for ALL the Autumn things, so this may as well be one of them. Plus, my Autumn Spice blend is only available for a short period of time each year, so I'm making ALL the things with it, and I think you should too.

Spoiler alert: This Homemade Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer is absolutely delightful, and I don't care that it's still god-awful hot outside or that I'm in a constant battle against my own sweat glands. I'll just be over here, eyes closed, manifesting Autumn in whatever way I can. Care to join me?

Homemade Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer

Makes about 1 quart

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups milk or milk substitute of choice

  • 1/4 cup pumpkin puree

  • 2-4 tablespoons pure maple syrup (depending on how sweet you like your creamer)

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 2 teaspoons Autumn Spice

Directions:

Combine ingredients in a small saucepan and whisk together over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil then remove pot from heat and allow creamer to cool completely before transferring to a jar and refrigerating. Shake well before using.
